Currently, Lane County has an Unemployment Rate of 11.4% as of November, 2010 (which is the most current data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics even though it is currently January 2011).
But, believe it or not, things are getting BETTER ! . How do we know that? . Because in March, 2009 the Unemployment Rate got as high as 13.5%. . Ouch!
